Permalink error on pages

    If you rename your categories slug into ‘blog’ (without quotes) for permalinks and also have a page called ‘blog’ (without quotes) you get a 404 when you click on next posts at the bottom of the ‘blog’ (without quotes) page. To solve this you have to rename the categories slug in the permalink structure.

    This is a bug in WordPress for a long time. Or is it a feature? 😀

    Haha, ‘It’s not a bug, it’s a feature’ was a widely used excuse at my last job..

    I’ve also experience similar issues with various content types having the same URL slug and not working, but then again I wouldn’t expect it to since you just can’t have two pages with the same URL, it doesn’t make sense. I reckon this only happens in rare cases but it sure gets frustrating if you don’t know the issue exists and you spend hours trying to debug a 404!
