Permalink In Pages

    Hi There,

    I’m experience frequent login and navigation problems with my site backend.

    But, in particular, even once I do get in and navigate to my Pages, I can no longer edit the permalink or access the get shortlink buttons.

    They don’t respond at all.

    Can you advise?

    (I realize I am using an older version of WordPress (4.3.1) but this was working up until yesterday).

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress 4.3.1. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Why are you using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap.
