Permalink issues that give error message 404.

Before I installed yoast plugin:
When permalink is define to Plain, (https://www.lexo.co.il/?page_id=2) everything is fine and the post is displayed.
When permalink is define Post name, (https://www.lexo.co.il/lawyers/lawyer-test/) I get 404.

After installed yoast plugin:
Everything is OK.

My problem now is that I have Custom Post Type = Lawyers.

When I enter to each lawyer, I get redirect to archive-lawyer page.

For example when I trying to enter https://www.lexo.co.il/lawyers/lawyer-test/ it’s redirect to https://www.lexo.co.il/lawyers/ (archive-lawyers.php).
When click on the lawyer from this page, nothing happened. same redirect to https://www.lexo.co.il/lawyers/ (archive-lawyers.php).

When permalink is define to Plain, (https://www.lexo.co.il/?lawyers=lawyer-test) everything is fine and the lawyer-post is displayed OK.

I need that permalink will be define as Post name.

Do you have any idea how to solve it?

The issue you are currently experiencing doesn’t seem specific to the Yoast SEO plugin. To verify this, can you please disable Yoast SEO plugin temporarily on your site to check whether this resolves the redirect issue on the lawyer custom post types individual post item for you?

Like I said before, Yoast resolve the issue with the posts.

I hope that yoast can solve also the custom post type.

I beileve that its something with the .htaccess.

We understand that Yoast SEO resolves the 404 issues with the Posts but not with the custom post types redirect issue. However, we’ll still need the confirmation for the above question to verify whether the custom post type individual item redirect issue is specific to Yoast SEO plugin or not. Can you please confirm this by disabling Yoast SEO plugin temporarily to see whether this resolves the issue for you?

When I diabled yoast, the redirect problem on custom post type still exsits.

Thanks for your confirmation. That issue you’re currently experiencing isn’t something specific to Yoast SEO that we or Yoast SEO can resolve. There’s something else on your setup that is causing the issue. We recommend you please troubleshoot the custom post types settings/code to see whether you can find the root cause of the issue.
