Permalink problem?

My product pages respond to two different permalinks.
The correct permalink is https://nootrologist.com.au/shop/l-theanine/
But even if I type in https://nootrologist.com.au/l-theanine/ it will redirect to https://nootrologist.com.au/shop/l-theanine/
Is that normal? Could it be causing problems for my visitors?
