I have WP in its own subdirectory (wp). I followed the directions in https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

I also changed the permalinks structure so it was a custom setting of: /wp/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/

But although the blog posts are displaying ok from the front-end, the home page shows a 404 and the permalink for the only page in the site is incorrect and not reflecting the subdirectory.

Note: It’s not possible to access the front-end of my site without being logged in because it’s currently behind a coming soon page.

Now resolved by making both the WordPress Address and Site Address (under General Settings) reflect the subdirectory.
