Permalink remove subcategory

    I want to have the following permalink for my products:
    /product/%product_cat% –> but without the sub-category.

    So /product/main-category/productname instead of /product/main-category/sub-category/productname.

    I’ve been searching and searching, but can’t find the answer. Is there any way to remove the subcategory from the woocommerce product page?
