• Hi,

I have my new WordPress installation at mysite.com/blog/.

Under the Permalink Settings, the first option seems correct:

    mysite.com/blog/?p=123

However, the rest of the links below all duplicate the blog/ directory name to blog/blog/:

    Day and name: mysite.com/blog/blog/2016/10/23/sample-post/
    Month and name: mysite.com/blog/blog/2016/10/sample-post/
    …etc.

This can’t be right, can it? How can I fix this? Altering the line “RewriteBase /blog/” in the .htaccess file didn’t change the permalinks.

    Thank you!

I should add that I initially installed WordPress under the subdomain “blog.mysite.com”, but I decided to switch it to “www.mysite.com/blog/”. I uninstalled WordPress, then reinstalled it.

It turns out this “problem” resolved itself. I didn’t realize the “blog/” slug was added to multisite installations.

Yet, I clicked around a bit, switched the Permalink setting back to “Plain”, and somehow the extra “blog/” slug is gone.
