Permalink Tweaker not working?

    I am very new with this plugin and I just installed it just testing to see how it works. I checked all the boxes of “Remove the URL bases of…” but when I go to homepage I see nothing has changed. It’s still using the default Permalink setting of wordpress.

    I remember I need to copy and paste code that wordpress generated into the .htaccess file. I don’t need to make .htaccess writable or do anything with it for seo ultimate to work do I?

    Permalink Tweaker’s URL base removal function only applies to “pretty permalink” formats (e.g. “day and name,” “month and name,” “custom structure,” etc.) Once you enable a “pretty permalink” format, Permalink Tweaker’s functions will take effect.
