    Hi,
For awhile, my permalink setting of using “Day and Name” was producing links as expected. However, just recently, I noticed that a number of my links have produced all numerical values following my domain (e.g. today’s post is viewable at http://tradablepatterns.com/2015/01/14/5310). I’ve given today’s post the name “S&P500 (ES) Testing 2000 Level”, so I’m not sure why the slug being created is not some variant of that title, but rather “5310”.

    Looking forward to your thoughts!
    Cheers,

    Darren

    Hi,

If you click to edit the permalink slug of that post, clear out the field completely and hit “OK”, does it create the right address then? (By hitting OK with an empty slug, WordPress should be running it’s normal permalink building feature to fill it in).

If it fills in the correct URL, did you perhaps start writing the article without a title and save a draft of it/publish it then add the title? in those cases it will use the posts ID number as the slug (this can be checked by seeing what the address is when you edit the post, if there is a post=5310 in there).

    That was it!
Thanks for solving the mystery Marius!

    Have a great weekend,
