This is exactly what the plugin was made for. If it does not work automatically please go to: Settings -> Permalinks -> “Save changes”. And please get sure there are published galleries available in your blog.
Ahhh, okay interesting.
So I did have permalinks enabled, however I had to change it to the permalink Post name option: “post name”
Couple more follow up issues, I am on wordpress 3.9.1 in a multisite environment (i am the network operator)
I am noticing that your screen shots display a taxonomy, however those options don’t show on the admin of the gallery.
In addition, I am noticing that now with permalinks enabled, I would still like to have better control of the style.
The theme I have set up has different page templates, these are natively selectable in the “pages” area, however they don’t seem to show up here. Is there a way for them to show for each gallery I set up?
In addition, at the galleries level I would like to be able to choose the page template from my theme as well.
Let me know your thoughts, off to a great start, thanks!
Okay I figured out this issue, and hopefully this will help some other people.
The galleries permalink is simply an archives page of post type: fancy-gallery
So to customize this, in your theme copy the “archives.php” template file and rename the copy “archives-fancy-gallery.php”
Then modify that file to your liking.
For the single galleries, copy the “single.php” template file and rename the copy “single-fancy-gallery.php” and then again modify that file to your liking.
Best of luck.
