Hi jrsjohn,
Sorry that you’re having trouble here. Can you tell me a bit more about your site?
– Version of WP?
– Version of BD?
– Have you changed the name of your Business Directory page at all?
– What has changed in the last few days on your site?
– Are you running a caching plugin or service on your site?
Let me know and we’ll go from there!

Hi jrsjohn,
OK–I’m not sure what might be going on here. Can you show me a link that’s changed (and how you found that)?
I’m not sure what might be going on here too!!
Today I when into the site and stop the menu on the theme then set a page for my home page, then edited the the real home to be /business-directory/ then back to the theme and set this page back to home page in the menu. Then add two more directory listing and it has not changed the url.
Here are two screen shot of bing and google with the url in them
AND I see one more site in this screen shot this has happened too..

Screenshot 2
Thank for time and a great plugin!!
if I come up on something I will let you know.. There is one plugin running cash on this site… Better WordPress Google XML Sitemaps
Screenshot 2 is a broke link here it is Screenshot 2
OK–I think part of the issue here is confusion. Google won’t re-index your site in “real time” so if you change the URL of your listings, Google will report 404 for the old one and not know about the new one. That takes time (on the order of 2-3 weeks in my experience) before you’ll see an update.
As for the URL problem–if you’re changing the URL, you’ve got to flush your server’s cache and make sure your XML sitemap is updated and then let Google index the site again.
THat will get Google up to date.
But the URL will be valid for your changed (new) one the whole time.
If you want to keep both URLs valid, you need to create 301 redirects to handle that. Here’s how to do that here:

And a plugin to help:
