‘Settings’ > ‘Reading’.
The option for your front page should then be at the top of the page titled ‘Front page displays’.
Thanks
But I have done everything to set my static home page, except enable permalinks, because I cant find it. I think it is for that reason that ‘links’ dont show up on my front page.
Any ideas?

settings->permalinks is where permalinks are configured
i dont have permalinks listed under settings. This is the latest version of wordpress, and I am sure it is somewhere else on the dashboard, but it is like looking for a needle in a fish shop!

hmm…if you are an admin on the site (which I’m sure you are since its your site!) then you really should have a permalinks menu in settings. It’s right after ‘Privacy’ on my settings menu
I feel a bit foolish about this -but after privacy, I have got Open ID, text messaging, sharing, domains, e-mail post sharing and webhooks. I am truly puzzled
