• Hi!

I’m not sure how it happened, but I’m guessing a while ago my permalinks changed from http://www.example.com/today to the default numbers of http://www.example.com/pageid=5. You get the idea.

Anyway, can anyone tell me if I change it back to the http://www.example.com/today if all my former blog posts, and posted pages will be messed up with this change. If it is, that means I have to go into all my social media and change the links?

Why I’m asking is, I did a Google search on my /about page, and the link was dead. Now it’s replaced by a number.

    Thanks

As far as redirection is concerned, if you make the switch, all of your current post urls will be changed. If someone tries to visit the old url, they’ll be redirected to the new post automatically.

Ah, okay. But what about pages? I noticed that it didn’t redirect my “about” page, it just showed a broken link.
