Permalinks error

Hi,
I received the following message upon loading this plugin. Not sure how to address.

Your permalinks structure is undefined. Please set your permalinks structure here: Permalink Settings
The following requirements were successfully met:

You have the zip extension
Your uploads folder is writable

We have successfully used this plugin for another website we currently host so feel it is a theme level (or plugin conflict related) issue.
