Permalinks problem

Hi. I have a website using Voleas theme at https://ailawtech.org/konferencja/ (while in the main directory on the server – at https://ailawtech.org/ there is a separate WordPress). I also have a domain http://www.metaswiaty.pl linked to this URL (https://ailawtech.org/konferencja/). The problem begins when you enter http://www.metaswiaty.pl in WordPress settings in the fields site address and wordpress address. 404 appears under the target domain, I lose access to the admin panel, permalinks do not work. I read I should edit the .htaccess file, but I do it and it doesn’t help. In addition, when the domain http://www.metaswiaty.pl was set in hosting provider, the mobile version of the theme stopped working (specifically, the mobile version began to be displayed as a tablet version). I understand that it’s some permalink problem, but does anyone have an idea what could have happened here and how to solve it?
