Congrats Jose. You made the best plugin I’ve ever used. Simple and effective. Thanks.

I’d like to share something I found on my website (www.elingenieroinversor.com), in case you want to consider developing a fix to it in coming versions.

I want my permalinks to be set as /%category%/%postname%/. However, in that way, FDP doesn’t apply its settings to the posts and loads all plugins in all post. However, archive pages are well detected.

I found a bypass that works for me by following your advice to some other problems, which is to change my permalinks to /tematicas/%category%/%postname%/ and creat the custom URL */tematicas/*. That works, but I need to include a new level to my post URL which I would rather avoid.
I tried with custom URL /%category%/ but it doesn’t work.

I hope this comment is helpful to someone else.
    Cheers!

Hi Alberto, thank you very much for your words and for discovering this bug.

If you have a staging environment, you can try the beta version 1.8.7.5 that you can download with this link: https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/freesoul-deactivate-plugins.1.8.7.5.zip.

If the direct link doesn’t work, go to https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/advanced/, scroll down until “Please select a specific version to download.”, select 1.8.7.5 and download it.

Then you should unzip it and update the plugin via FTP. If you do it, remember to disable and reactivate again FDP.

The new official version that fixes this bug will need a few days.

    Hello Jose,

Unfortunately, the version 1.8.7.5 doesn’t solve the issue with custom concatenated slugs on my site. Also not with custom post types (like the ones of Woocommerce, LearnDash or BetterDocs).
I ended up making custom URL rules for each custom post type and it works for me. The negative side of it is that I think that the custom URL has priority against the settings per individual page (with the lock pad closed), so I cannot fine-tune FDP per page, but only per post type.

Regardless, it’s a very helpful plugin.
I look forward to future versions where these issues are solved 🙂

    Hi @alberto1988

    thank you very much.

On my installation, I have no problems with the permalink structure /%category%/%postname%/. Have you disabled and reactivated again FDP after the update? Doing that updates the mu-plugin you have in wp-content/mu-plugins.

Are you sure the cache is cleared?

I see you have WP Rocket, I will test it again with WP Rocket and your permalink structure.

Do you have other mu-plugins in wp-content/mu-plugins?

Can you do a quick test disabling WP Rocket?

    Hi @alberto1988

I’ve tested WP Rocket with your permalink structure /%category%/%postname%/ and have no problems.

Can you check with the question mark icon in the FDP settings?

I mean the icon you see in the third row of the table shown on this page:
https://freesoul-deactivate-plugins.com/how-deactivate-plugiins-on-specific-pages/action-buttons/. That one having the description “Check which plugins are really disabled according to the saved options”.

Let me know the message that will popup after you click on that icon.

    Hello Jose,

    Thanks for your interest.

I tried in a staging environment, and I saw that the problem was solved with version 1.8.7.5 for posts with custom permalinks. I mean, without custom URL rules, the plugins loaded are those selected under post type, so, that works!

However, the issue is still there for custom post types (like those coming from LearnDash or BetterDocs). For those post types, even selecting plugins individually and locking the page individually with the padlock, doesn’t seem to work. The message you asked me says:
    “No plugins are disabled
    —————-”

For example, on this page, there should be nothing related to Woocommerce.
    https://www.pruebas.elingenieroinversor.com/preguntas/ratios-de-eficiencia/que-es-el-retorno-del-capital-invertido-roic/

And on this one, nothing related to Betterdocs nor Woocommerce
    https://www.pruebas.elingenieroinversor.com/cursos/la-mente-del-inversor/

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Alberto

thank you very much for the information, they are a help for me.
I still need time to fully solve this problem. I suggest you using Custom URLs settings until there isn’t a fix for this issue.

    Hi Alberto

I’ve right now published version 1.8.8.

Theoretically, it should fix this issue, but because I was not able to reproduce the problem on my installation, it’s only theoretically.

Please let me know if 1.8.8 solves the problem you have with custom post types.

You need to save again the options for the custom posts that were not working.

I mean, if you only update the plugin, it will be not enough. You need to go to the Singles settings and save.
