Permalinks Wanted Before Publishing Post

    Hello,
    I am a student trying to design my own WP theme. My question is the post permalinks in my XAMPP is shown after I publish the post. I want to see or get the permalinks during writing the post, as it happends in wordpress.com

    Help needed.

    try to check ‘screen options’ near the top right on the page where you write your post, and tick all tickboxes.

    i work locally with xampp and wp3.1.1, and, having all the boxes ticked, i get the permalink below the post title after ‘save draft’ and even before that probably at the autosave of the post revision.
