Permanent (sticky?) posts in 2014?

    I’ve always been able to check the “sticky” box in the quick edit to make a post stay at the top of my blog. Now I’ve switched to 2014 and sticky just makes the post “disappear” into the “slider feature”. I want it displayed normally, permanently at the top. Please help.
