Permission / Not eligible

I’ve noticed there’s a recent thread on this topic, it has been closed 1 day ago so I’m re-oponing it now.
My client made me admin on their Facebook page and the page is associated with the Business Manager account that has been chosen. When I go to connect, I get the error:
You don’t have permission to edit these settings. Reach out to the admin of ”XXX’ Business Manager to to gain access.

It is certainly possible to have admin access to a Facebook page without having admin access to the Business Manager itself. I might recommend having your client follow the steps here to add you to their Business Manager:

Sorry if I was not clear but my client has already given me access to their Business Manager, made me admin of all their assets among which the page.
Now, maybe I should also try getting access to the Facebook page outside of the Business Manager…?
