We’re in the process of making an update now. If you’re able to access your database, set the wp_maxbuttons_buttons table to utf8 charset, otherwise sit tight until we get the next version out.

table option >> Collation >> set to utf8_bin
set to Collation utf8_general_ci

It must have been something with the re-installation of WordPress. We’ve had similar issues with ???? before, so maybe you had something in your settings already that bypassed that.

i think this plugin has problem with persian and arabian language.
maybe it just work with persian wordpress edited.
now i use the orginal wordpress with english language.

Update to the latest version of MaxButtons, navigate to the settings page and try the instructions there. It was added to specifically help with this issue, so let me know how it goes.
