• Hi there, not sure this is where to post this question.

I am used to working in Joomla, and I’ve recently started working in WordPress. In Joomla, when you filter categories (or others), saving or closing an article will return you to the previously applied filters – which made it really easy to add or edit articles in a particular category. In WordPress, however, whenever an post is saved the filters are reset which makes it particularly difficult for my purposes (A magazine website that is updated every 2 months to coincide with the physical copy).

My question is whether there’s a specific function or plugin that would stop filters from being reset every time a post is saved.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if any clarification is needed, please let me know.

    Hi there,

I don’t have any screen recording software, however, I’ve found a solution to my particular issue using a plugin.

    Plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/improved-save-button/

If I’m adding a bunch of new articles, I can click “Save & New”. If I’m editing an article, I can click “Save & List” which returns me to the list of posts with my previous filters still applied.

For example, if I filtered categories to only show articles from “Education”, after “Save & List”, it would return me to only articles from “Education”, rather than an unfiltered list of articles.
