Photo galleries

Hi!
I haven’t been working with WordPress for years now, so maybe/hopefully things have changed… Is a plugin still required to handle photo galleries or is the internal media section “good enough” now? I remember that it easily became incalculable before, when photos were mixed together with pdf files and other graphical objects for the web site.

The latest updates of WordPress has Gutenburg editor, and it’s pretty easy to add Photo galleries on pages and posts via the gallery option.
