    Hi @madthomas1986 ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The code appears to be working fine on my testing environment. I suspect this may be due to caching with Autoptimize, as I can see that your site is running it. Kindly try flushing your site’s cache and apply the suggested configuration found in our Autoptimize knowledge base article to see if that alleviates the situation.

Unfortunately, I’ve tried clearing the cache multiple times, and it doesn’t work. The cause must be somewhere else.

And i tried autoptimize settings from you guys.

    Hi @madthomas1986

Could you please try temporarily deactivating both your caching plugin and any server-side caching to see if that resolves the issue?

Also, could you let me know how the snippet was added on your end? A screenshot or short screen recording would be really helpful so I can better understand how it was implemented.

I disabled the autoptimize and WP Super Cache caching plugins, but that didn’t help. I’m sending a screenshot of the code implementation.
    The code has been copied.

    Hi @madthomas1986 ,

Thank you for your message and the information. I’m sorry to hear of the continued difficulties.

Could you try using a different Code Snippets plugin to apply the code in; Or try applying it directly to your theme’s functions.php file?

So here it is: I’ve tried several PHP plugins, and none of them work. I tried pasting it into both a child theme and the original theme, and nothing. I asked Chat GPT why this code (I pasted the code into gpt) wasn’t working for this website: https://conamiescie.info/events/2026-02-08/ And he spit out a lot of information that might point you to a solution. Will you give it a try?

*Its a “DAY VIEW” not a “LIST VIEW” – will this help?

    Hi @madthomas1986

    Thanks for your response.

I’ve just checked your calendar, and it appears that the images are now clickable in both the List and Day views. Could you please confirm whether you’re still experiencing this issue on your end?

The calendar has been rolled back to an older version. I’ve now updated it to the latest version. The day view images are no longer clickable.

I copied the featured-image file responsible for the daily view from the old calendar version to the newest one, and it works. Admittedly, other things have come up on the website, and I’m working on them now. But I think we can close this thread. In pain (as after every update).

    Hi @madthomas1986

I’m glad to hear you’ve found a workaround for this issue! If you haven’t done so already, I strongly recommend using a template override rather than editing the plugin’s template directly. This ensures that your customizations remain intact every time the plugin is updated.

I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. Feel free to reach out anytime if you have other questions or concerns.
