Trying to install Simple Stripe plugin on my website. It says I need to upgrade PHP to 5.4. I upgrade PHP from 5.2 to 5.4, activate the Stripe plugin and within a few minutes PHP is reverted to 5.2. I worked with the hosting support for two days trying to figure out what’s going on. We have upgraded PHP a dozen times and bottonline is when we activate the Stripe plugin, PHP revert reverted to an older version. We have systematically removed various agents narrowing the problem to this plugin. Any thoughts?

  • Hello,

Sorry you are having an issue. There is not anything in our plugin that should be altering the PHP version. It sounds like it would be a hosting issue.

What did you do to narrow it down to our plugin being the cause?

I worked with the hosting provider troubleshooting for 2 days. They tried various things, changing permissions, installing manual, etc.
Someone suggested it was an issue with a plugin. I disabled on plugin at a time to see if the issue when away. If it didn’t I enabled the plugin and moved on to the next on. Once I disabled the Simple Stripe plugin the problem stop. Any other thoughts?
