PHP 7.1 Warning: Illegal string offset…

    WP 4.7.2
    Ad Inserter 2.1.0
    PHP 7.1.1

    In the process of moving to PHP 7.1 but found these warnings on my local dev server.

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘REMOTE_DEBUGGING’ in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/CROSS/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ad-inserter/ad-inserter.php on line 1912

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘REMOTE_DEBUGGING’ in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/CROSS/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ad-inserter/ad-inserter.php on line 1915

    However Plugin appears to be ok on PHP 7.0.9.

    Realise it may be early days for PHP 7.1.1 but wondered if you were aware of any issues?

    Just to add these warnings display at the top of the page and no other page content is displayed to the user.

    However, when logged in to WP the errors still show at the top again but the rest of the page is displayed as normal.

    Hi Igor

    Appears to do this on the initial install of ad-inserter for PHP 7.1

    I found if after install you continue to the plugin settings -> Ad insert Settings -> Debugging
    Then check either of the check boxes and save settings. The warnings then disappear.
    You can change the two checkboxes back to whatever you need – saving the settings once seems to clear the warnings.
