I have run a compatibility check to see if my system is compatible with PHP 8.0 and I get the following message on both the Theme and one plugin:

    Response status: 400

    Message: Request has validation errors

The audit project slug must be an alpha-numeric string, dashes are allowed.

What does this message mean? Where do I find the audit project slug, and how do I fix the issue?

I suspect the message comes from the compatibility check you performed. How did you do that? Which plugin do you use for that?

The plugin I used is PHP Compatibility Checker

Then I would recommend contacting their support forum if you have any questions about the error message: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/plugin-compatibility-checker/

    Ok I reply for fixes

Check the project name you entered : If you typed something like My Project #1, change it to my-project-1.

If you didn’t enter a name manually: The plugin might be using your site name as the slug.

    • Go to Settings → General in WordPress and check your Site Title — if it has special characters, try simplifying it temporarily to only letters/numbers/dashes, then re-run the scan.

    Update or reinstall the plugin

Thanks for your help. I have transferred the issue to the suggested forum

My question still stands – where or how do I find the project name?

Unfortunately, I don’t know what the plugin you are using means by “audit project slug.” If it refers to the plugin slug, then it is, for example, plugin-compatibility-checker for the plugin “PHP Compatibility Checker”. In other words, it is what you see in the URL of the plugin page. Only their support forum can provide you with more detailed information.
