PHP Console extension doesn’t ask for password and doesn’t work

    Hey,
    your extension is great, and I’ve been using it on several WP sites I was developing. Now Im working on a new project (http://adamolam.co.il) but since I moved to its final domain (and a new server) the chrome extension doesn’t ask for password anymore, and therefore cannot work.
    PHP version is 5.6.29-0+deb8u1, WP version is the newest so far (4.7.1). On a temporary version of of the site, everything works fine (http://igeret.co.il). But again, it’s on a different server and domain.
    Any ideas?

    EDIT:
    For a moment, totally by chance, somwthing started to work there – i could see the key and enter the password, but since then everything came back to not working at all…

    have you checked PHP logs for errors? clear also your browser caches, run the session with chrome console open and tick the setting to not use cache while the js (chrome) console is open

    Hey and thanks for the reply.
    I’ve checked my error.log and found this (several times):
    [Fri Jan 20 18:54:24.508329 2017] [:error] [pid 32181] [client 66.249.66.247:39728] PHP Warning: session_start(): open(/var/www/sites/adamolam/adamolam.co.il/subdomains/www/tmp/sess_6l7iboro6jdfvol33ev1uh85i2, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in /var/www/sites/adamolam/adamolam.co.il/subdomains/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-php-console/includes/class-wp-php-console.php on line 141
    There are also all the [trace] lines if you think it may help.

    Alright, problem solved!
    I needed only to create the directory tmp under the www directory. now it works!

    I see what could have went wrong here — probably writing permission rights in your wp folders structure

    I needed to store phpconsole session somewhere temporarily as other means to record the session provided by the phpconsole library didn’t work out for me
