Hello, I have a warning from my Kinsta web hosting about php fatal error on my website.

I am using the latest version 4.13.5 of ajax search lite on a clean wordpress 6.9.4 site with elementor pro 3.35.1 and hello theme. I also have ACF Pro 6.7.0.2

This is the report: 2026/04/17 08:41:47 [error] 36298#36298: *25225 FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined variable $s_data in /www/*********/public/wp-content/plugins/ajax-search-lite/includes/classes/filters/class-asl-searchoverride.php on line 225; PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, null given in /www/*********/public/wp-content/plugins/ajax-search-lite/includes/classes/filters/class-asl-searchoverride.php:74

As I can understand there is an undefined variable $s_data that cause this.

As I can see on the frontend , there is no any problem with the search function.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for letting me know. I can see why this might be happening, luckily it happens only under super rare conditions, the error will likely not reappear often even in your case.

It is only a warning, it will not cause any further issues for now you can ignore it. I have noted this and will patch it in the upcoming version.

    Thanks again!

    All the best,
    Ernest
