    Hi!
I’m attempting to install this plugin but I received the error message, “This plugin requires a newer version of PHP.” My site is currently running PHP 7.2, so I’m not sure what the issue is.

    Hi,

I think you will encounter this issue with many plugins. It seems a problem either related to WordPress itself, or that PHP is providing the wrong version number. The plugin itself doesn’t check which version of PHP you are running, it’s just mentioned that PHP 7 is the minimum in the readme.txt. I am pretty sure that will be fixed somehow, I heard about it 2-3 times now since the latest release of WP.
