PHP Session

Hi,
I just upgraded to the newest version and FB Login does not work, the popup returns ERROR 500. I figure out the reason is I use PHP that built without Session.
Problem is I always use PHP without Session for a long time ago, and previous version of Super Socializer works very well. I wanna avoid session lock may slow down my WordPress in many cases, that’s why I build PHP without session.
Is SESSION really necessary in Super Socializer (which older version does not need)? If yes, could you figure out another way to make the plugin work without it please.
