php template themes

    Hi

    I’ve been using very nice and complex WP sites for a known institute. I love working the old fashion way: PHP page templates, no blocks. Every page has a PHP template behind, and in the template I call ACF . My problem is that new native WP themes are not friendly with this. That’s why I use TwentySixteen, which is perfect. Is the future good for this? Will WP still support it in the next decade?

    You can neither agree nor disagree. Nobody can say how long these themes will be supported, as there are no plans to stop supporting them. From my point of view, however, this will not change any time soon, as there are still an extremely large number of websites and themes based on the classic themes.
