PHP update for Add From Server

    I have uploaded “Add From Server” plugin and when I activate it I receive the error message: “This plugin requires WordPress 4.0 or greater, and PHP 5.4 or greater. You are currently running WordPress 4.7.1 and PHP 5.3.28. Please contact your website host or server administrator for more information. The plugin has been deactivated.” I contacted EarthLink and they said they plan to update. Is there another plugin with a lower PHP requirement? Or, do you have any further thoughts of something that might work?

    I would suggest pushing Earthlink to update sooner instead. PHP 5.3.28 was released in December 2013 and is woefully out of date.

    If the WordPress media uploader doesn’t work for your use-case, explaining what your use-case is might allow someone else to suggest an alternative for you. I don’t have any suggestions myself though.
