This happens when the language code on your website doesn’t include a country locale and only the main language identifier.
Please make sure that you select the language on your website to include a country locale under WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General.

Indeed, the language code on my website doesn’t include a country locale but only the main language identifier.
Surprisingly the errors have stopped without me changing anything language related. In any case, it’s good to know the origin of them.
