phpmyadmin needs apache24 needs visual studio to check my db?!

    Hi,

    I’m trying to activate plugins and I get this message:
    You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page

    A post on the WP forum says that I must check my database with phpmyadmin, which requires apache24 to view the UI, which requires visual studio, which takes literally hours to install!!!
    This is nuts!
    I had a blog 12 years ago, and I remember using phpmyadmin (probably through Cpanel) and never went through this visual studio nightmare.
    Is there no way to using phpmyadmin without Visual Studio?

    Is your account an admin role on your WordPress installation ?
    Or do you have another role with less privileges ?

    Is it a local installation or a hosted installation ?
    Is it a standalone or a multisite installation ?
