phpmyadmin not running

    Hi,

    I installed wasp and wordpress. I started wamp but when I click on Localhost, nothing happens. I have WordPress installed in the wamp www folder. I type Localhost/myphpadmin in my browser and nothing happens. My browser does not navigate to anything.

    I’m running windows 8.

    What could I be doing wrong?

    Is anything running in WAMP? Can you get WordPress to run at all, even just the installation screen, or an error or something?

    When you first install apache web server there is a test page that says “It works”, did you get this page ?

    When you install WordPress, there is a file readme.html at web address probably: http://localhost/readme.html it will show your WordPress version. Do you see this ?

    Have you tried entering “http://localhost/phpmyadmin” in your browser address bar ?

    It may be simplest to uninstall your present webserver setup and install AMPPS instead, it has one click installs for WordPress and phpmyadmin and lots of other things.
