You can enable the search box upon adding the gallery.
The tags can be enabled as well.
Make sure you create the tags and add them to the images first

Thanks for your very fast answer.
Yes, i have the search box activated and it works.
Now i want search in this box for tags, not as extra option.
It was possible a time ago, but i don’t know when exactly.

The search option is based on the image titles and description.
If you add tag related keywords to the image description, you will be able to find the desired image.
There is no way to have a separate search functionality for tags only within the search box, you can only select the tags from the “select tag” box.

Now i activated the tag box.
But when no tags are checked at the first site from the gallery, the lightbox not open the pictures. One (or more) tags must checked, before the lightbox display the pictures.
Is that intended?

The “select tag” box filters and displays images with the tag assigned.
Please make sure the lightbox is activated. It should open regardless of the search or tag boxes: https://nimb.ws/jXScNq

I have at the moment no public link from this project, sorry.
On the first view of the gallery-site the tag-box is default on “select tag” and
i see all the thumbnails from the gallery-pictures (all tags). Thats ok.
Click now directly on a thumbnail, the lightbox open with spinning wheel. The picture is not loading/displayed.
Is one (or more) tag selected, i see only the thumbnails from pictures with this tag (correct) and click now on a thumbnail, the lightbox open and load/display the picture correctly.
Hope you understand, what i mean.

Can you please inspect the page and see if there are any js errors?
Please install Health Check & Troubleshooting and troubleshoot the gallery.
This plugin will help you identify any possible conflict between the gallery and other plugins/theme.

Here can you see a part of a incomplete Site with my problem.
Click on this site on a thumbnail (do not select an tag previously) and the lightbox not open the picture.

I think, when in the tag-selector nothings checked (default on first view), all thumbnails are shown, but the lightbox not show a picture.
