Hey, I’ve been racking my brain the whole day but can’t figure this out. Where is Pinterest taking the 2 descriptions from? Thanks!

    Laura,

I don’t believe that this wouldn’t be output by the theme. This should be controlled in your SEO plugin settings.

Have you tried changing your SEO settings?

I use Yoast and it says ‘Pinterest uses Open Graph metadata just like Facebook, so be sure to keep the Open Graph checkbox on the Facebook tab checked if you want to optimize your site for Pinterest.’ So the first description should be the same with the one used for Facebook, right?

The second one is dictated by the alt tag of the image, I’m pretty sure of that.

I’m not sure why this is happening. Are you using a custom excerpt for the post?

I figured it out, thanks, Kevin. I WANT the 2 descriptions to be different, just wasn’t sure how to control this info. So everything is peachy! 🙂

Ah, sorry I wasn’t understanding correctly. I’m glad you got it sorted though!
