Pixel Caffeine causing fatal error

Hi – I’ve just had a critical error on my website due to the Pixel Caffeine plugin and had to disable it to get back into my site.

Is there anything I can do to get the plugin back up and running? Everytime I try to reactivate it the fatal error comes back.

Current theme: Folio (version 1.0.1473092495)
Current plugin: Pixel Caffeine (version 2.1.2)
PHP version 7.3.16

Error Details:
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 10 of the file /home/rainirow/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pixel-caffeine/includes/admin/logs/class-log-db-handler.php. Error message: Declaration of PixelCaffeine\Logs\LogDBHandler::write(array $record) must be compatible with Monolog\Handler\AbstractProcessingHandler::write(array $record): void

Same problem here. I had to disable the plugin to get my site back live.

Sadly now I can’t tract my ads.

Same for me. I can’t enter on my administration control panel, even if the plugin is disabled. The only form to avoid this error is deleting the plugin directory.

PHP version: 7.4.6

Besides, I tried to install old pixel caffeine versions without success (the same fatal error). This problem begans to happen after a plugins update, but I’m sorry that I don’t remmember what plugins has been updated.

same problem, but i manage to replace all updated addons with older version and checked 1 by 1 which one causes the problem.

its WP-Optimize https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-optimize/

After updating WP-Otimize to v3.1.1 u get error:

Hi all,

thanks @dynamic22 for the debug and sharing that this is caused by the upgrade of WP-Optimize!

I’ll try to find a solution I hope within tomorrow and send here an alpha version that will fix this fatal error. Sorry for the waiting, I hope to give a fix within the next 24/48 hours.

After the last WP-Optimize plugin update, it works:

Wp-Optimize 3.1.2 – 03/Jun/2020
TWEAK: Only load minify dependencies when the feature is enabled, reducing the risk of conflicts with plugins with obsolete/incompatible library versions.

Anyway, the definitive bug solution to avoid future problems is in the hands of the pixel caffeine developers.

the new version 2.1.3 with the fix is live 🙂

Happy to read that WP Optimize had fixed on their own, but anyway this should fix also for the version with the conflict.

Please, upgrade your Pixel Caffeine to 2.1.3 and you should fix your problem.
