    Hi,

I’ve set up this plugin on a simple lead generation opt-in page. For any event, including PageView, my Facebook Pixel Tracker Chrome extension shows a warning sign and says “pixel code found but not activated for this event”.

I’m not excluding any roles in the settings, disabled ad blocker, tried setting up new events, turning other plugins on/off (I only use OptimizePress and Autoptimize plugins at the moment). None of which made it work. The events manager testing does not show any events either.

When I use the official Facebook plugin to add my pixel, I see a tick next to each event, and it works fine.

I’ve also asked a friend to try it on a different computer/IP address, and he was seeing the same thing on my site.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this please?

    Thank you

    Hello,

I can’t give you a speciffic answer, since you didn’t provide your URL.

    The usual suspects are:

    1. a cookie consent plugin blocking the pixel before you agree to tracking.

    2. a second pixel install – sometimes this can create such a problem, remove the other install.

    3. a cache – delete your cache.

    4. a JS error triggered by another plugin. You can check your browser’s console.

    Hello,

    Appreciate your quick reply.

    My URL: (REMOVED)

I haven’t got a cookie consent plugin installed. Both browser and server cache have been deleted multiple times. Also, this issue existed before the Facebook official plugin was installed (which has now been deactivated).

    Thank you again

How is the page created, any third party plugin?

I can’t find any trace of our JS files when I check your page source, and the minified JS files served by your cache plugins don’t contain any references either.

    It’s created using OptimizePress 3.

I just re-checked and your plugin is enabled. I can see the pixel on the site with the same event not activated error as detailed above.

That makes sense, OptimizePress removes scripts from third party plugins.

    You need to:

    1. Find the OptimizePress option to enable third party scripts, add PixelYourSite’s scripts to the allow list, and save.

    2. Delete your cache again.
