    Hello,

You mention that the plugin is compatible with Cookiebot to update when consent is given: https://sweetcode.com/docs/wpm/consent-management/platforms

But every time I activate the Cookiebot plugin, even if consent is given, the Facebook pixel does not load. I have enabled “Enable explicit consent mode” setting. I also have the “Enable Google Consent Mode v2 with standard settings” enabled.

What can be the issue? How should I ensure the pixel loads when consent is given?

    Hi @andreiungurianu

Please send us a link to your website and activate the Cookiebot plugin and the Pixel Manager with all the settings that you need. And then we’ll take a look why it’s not working.

Also, let us know how you are checking if the Facebook Pixel is loaded or not.

    Hello.

The link to my website is http://www.ralucaalecu.ro

I activated the Cookiebot plugin & checked both the ““Enable explicit consent mode” and “Enable Google Consent Mode v2 with standard settings” in your plugin’s settings.

I checked the pixel loading using the Meta Pixel chrome extensions.

    Thank you.

    Ok.

    1. That’s not the Cookiebot CMP but the Usercentrics CMP. Cookiebot was acquired by Usercentrics a while ago, but their cookie banners are still two different products, especially from a technical point of view.

    2. There is either a misconfiguration in your Usercentrics CMP or a bug. Even after accepting all cookies using the Accept All button (screenshot) it saves the wrong values in the gcm variable, which the Pixel Manager uses to retrieve the consent values: screenshot

If it is a misconfiguration in the Usercentrics settings you will have to fix it. If it is a bug, you will have to get Usercentrics to fix the bug.

Currently the Usercentrics CMP is a Google Consent Mode certified CMP (link). If this is their bug, they need to fix it, otherwise they might lose their certification. Like this, their gcm variable is of no use.

    3. The Usercentrics CMP also blocks the Pixel Manager from running immediately. You have to disable this if possible. The Pixel Manager should never be blocked from running.

    4. In the meantime I will remove that CMP from our compatibility list.

Thank you for your help. I have written to their support as well, hopefully they will come up with a fix.
