    Hi,

I have installed both Complianz and PixelYourSite after moving away from the standard Pixel plugin.

However, I have a few problems. One of the main reasons I went to PYS is to allow for proper CAPI function. However, if my users doesn’t allow cookies on Complianz, PYS still doesn’t function with CAPI – both CAPI and browser side functionality are blocked. What is wrong here?

Also – PYS isn’t automatically adding the Pixel code to my website header. I have to manually add my Pixel code to my functions.php file. If I don’t do this, I get the error that pixel code found but not activated for this event. Part of my thinks this is because Complianz is blocking it but the CAPI stuff should still work. Any help?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

These questions are better asked to Complianz support directly. We don’t have a direct integration with them, so I don’t really know how their code works.

I’ll try to answer them anyway, but these are more like general answers:

    1. CAPI should NOT work if the user doesn’t agree to tracking. So the way Compliantz behave in this scenario is correct. CAPI is not suppose to track users if they don’t give you their permission to track them.
    2. Regarding the missing pixel code and events not working, I can’t tell you why you have this problem, especially because I can’t see it on the site. It might be related to how Complianz work. However, I am not aware of similar complains. It can be just a cache issue.

Thank you for such a prompt response. I have asked them as well 🙂

I thought CAPI was GDPR compliant and so it was a way to bypass consent notices/privacy issues? Have I totally misunderstood that?

I have fixed the second issue 🙂

CAPI is GDPR compliant only if the user gives you their informed permission.
