Issue long running processes caused by SpamAssassin used by a hosting provider. Below is my chat with my hosting provider :

As per our investigation your Contact and Checkout forms take a little bit more time to be handled because of SpamAssassin internal delays (each outgoing message being sent through PHP mail() function is scanned by SpamAssassin).

After that I tried to install this plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ and I use option “Send all WordPress emails via SMTP”

It’s working for me, tell me if it also works for you.
