    I am unable to modify text in the Page SEO Settings. I can start afresh but not change. I am using SiteOrigin for my website and this is what they say:

    Ah. According to the screenshot, the text is slightly greyed out which suggests its placeholder text which means that you won’t be able to edit the text but you can type in new text. In other words, this appears to be intentional by the plugin. I would double check with the plugin developers to see if it’s possible to fill this field rather than using a placeholder.

    Is this possible?

    Do you mean SEO > SEO Settings > Home Page Settings? The placeholder text there is taken from your Settings > General > Site Title and Settings > General > Tagline. So if you want to edit that text, you can go ahead and do so in the WordPress general settings.

    Note that if you modify Home Page Settings in TSF, you are only changing it for the homepage. I recommend looking through all the SEO settings tabs, getting familiar with it for a bit, also adjusting Title Settings. If you still have difficulties, just reply here and please try to go into as much detail as possible.

    Placeholder manipulation was considered, but was dropped for UX and accessibility issues:

    Briefly: Not everyone uses a mouse, and expected browser behavior is destroyed.

    Instead, we’ve added a blur on focus so users get a hint it’ll be overwritten, which is supported on all browsers (but Edge and IE).

    So, although it’s possible, it won’t be considered until (if ever) we rewrite the input fields to a “parts” system.

    I can change on one as in attached but not on most of them as in attached.
