Placing Button inside Modules / No Popups

    I can get the pop ups to work fine when create a button module. If I create that button module, and inspect and copy the element so I can paste that button inside the text portion of an existing module (such as a toggle or accordion) the link/pop up created does not work.

    Is thre somethign I can add to allow the popups to work when the button is copied and placed this way?

    Or… to add a more divi built in solution.. is there a way to work on the divi call to action module where we can enable a button? I did try the button in the CTA but it also does not do anything when pushed. (no pop up).
