Hi!

First of all, thank you for this great plugin, I’ve been using it for a while now and it always worked perfectly for me 🙂

However, yesterday I decided to change the size of the thumbnail, and since then the play button is not showed. I’ve been checking what could it be, but I don’t know what happened…

The link is just a post example, but the problem is present in all the website videos. Thanks in advance for the help!

Looks like the image sprite cannot be loaded from your CDN;
mk0mascotapron7wfop6.kinstacdn.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/lytesprite.png does not work but mascotapro.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/lytesprite.png does. Maybe check if you can exclude files (images) from being loaded from the CDN and if so exclude the LYTE one?

Hi!

Thank you for your fast reply. I’ve been talking with my hosting company to ask about excluding images from being loaded from the CDN, apparently that can’t be done, but they tell me that, visiting the CDN page, the image can be seen properly: mk0mascotapron7wfop6.kinstacdn.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/lytesprite.png

After having a look, they told me that they saw the issue in the browser console. This is what they told me:

It seems that the site is looking for the picture at this link:
https://mascotapro.com/gps-para-perros-y-gatos/mk0mascotapron7wfop6.kinstacdn.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/lytesprite.png

Instead of this:
https://mk0mascotapron7wfop6.kinstacdn.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/lytesprite.png

So it’s appending the path to the image to current URL

Do you set any link in this plugin? If not you will still have to refer to the plugin developer but at least we know what is the issue for sure

The sprite is loaded by lyte-min.js and uses the bU variable set in the inline JS, which in turn is based on the WordPress core plugins_url() function, so bU should be https://mascotapro.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/ and the sprite should be loaded from there. Looks like a bug in the CDN-logic?

I don’t know… I could ask again to my hosting company to see if they can find why this is happening.

The weird thing is that it all worked fine until I yesterday changed the size of the thumbnail, and deactivated the HD function. It happens just since that moment, so I don’t know if any setting got messed with that change.

seems unrelated to me really, those settings don’t change the bU variable in the inline JS, so ..

Finally we found where the issue was! It was because of a setting in an optimization plugin, that was messing the CDN-logic, as you pointed out. Already fixed 🙂
