    With the 3.6.x WordPress changed the default behavior for the video and audio media. when you load an audio from the “add media” button, in the case of video or audio, it returns a short code instead of a link to the media file.
    Before inserting it into your page you should control that in the “ATTACHMENT DISPLAY SETTINGS” panel on the bottom right of the up-loader window the “Embed or Link” is set to “link to media file” and not to “embed media player”.
