Please Add Feature for Memcached – Feature Request

    Dear Automattic,

    Please add Memcached feature 🙏. WP Super Cache is the only cache plugin that’s fully compatible with my theme Newspaper 9, but there is no place to add “Memcached IP and Port” in the plugin.

    I think my site will load a lot faster if I can integrate memcached IP and port into this plugin.

    Do you have any plan to add Memcached feature in the coming update?

    I have had success using other full-cache plugins with Newspaper 9 theme. That said, when Automatic already has support for memcached with Batcache, I don’t think they’d want to refactor WP Super Cache to bring the features already available in Batcache. Both were created with different objective. WP Super Cache would keep the cache in disk and Batcache would keep the cache in memory.
