    Denis, can you please update this app to support more file types? Specifically, mp4 would be great.

    Hello @mstissa,

    I’m not sure I understood your request correctly.

    The DCO Comment Attachment uses the types allowed in your WordPress installation.

    I installed a “clean” installation of WordPress and mp4 is in the list of supported types.

    I’m sorry, Denis. I missed your reply.

    What I mean by support is that I’d like to see an mp4 embedded as a preview in the comment, like a movie in GIF format or a link to YouTube. When I try to add an mp4 it will upload to the database correctly but within the comment it just shows a link.

    @mstissa,

    Please check that the Embed attachment? checkbox is checked.

    My result.

    Yes, it’s checked. Like I said, other formats will embed, such as a movie or animation in GIF or MOV format, or a link to a video on YouTube, but an mp4 will just display as a link. I played around with it and could not figure out how to get it to display like other formats.

    Can you provide a link to a page on your site where I can try to attach an mp4?

    You have to register in order to do that: https://www.mistresstissa.club

    @mstissa As far as I can see, you are using the Html5 Video Player Pro plugin. Can you try disabling it temporarily?

    Please check

    I tested it on this page https://mistresstissa.club/fixed/#comment-1811 and now video embedding works. Screenshot.

    This is probably a conflict with the Html5 Video Player Pro plugin. I have not worked with this plugin and I don’t have any solution for this problem at the moment 🙁 . Maybe I can come up with something in future versions.

    If you need this plugin, try contacting its support. Maybe they can offer some solution.

    Yes, I replied to your comment there. I appreciate your helping troubleshoot and figuring out the conflict.

    I’ll contact them to see what they say. Thank you for your time 🙂
