    Good morning

    Since about 2 weeks after opening the developer tools with F12, examine the code und closing it, the error message “Please close the developer tools to continue using this site” appears by opening the site with apple equipment, eg iPhone, iPad. After closing the error message it appears again and again. By using the site with Firefox and Edge there is no error message.

    Does any body has an idea, how i can fix this problem?

    Plain vanilla WP does not have any issues with the use of developer tools. Such a restriction is certainly due to your theme or one of your plugins. Maybe you have a security or privacy plugin that’s the cause? Or maybe a plugin that claims to protect your content from scraping by disabling left-click and other similar features?

    If you’re not sure which module is the cause, deactivate all plugins and switch to a default Twenty* theme. There should no longer be a complaint about developer tools. Restore your theme and plugins, one at a time, testing after each. When the complaint reappears, the last activated module was the cause. Either stop using the module, or seek further advice through its dedicated support channel.

    This is caused by a script that is printed on every page of your website. Unfortunately, it is not recognizable where it comes from. It could be your theme or a plugin you are using.

    Hi, thanks a lot for your support. I dekativated the plugin “Prevent Direct Access”, then the problem was solved. The issue can be closed.
