Hi Charlie,
Thanks for hopping in the forum. That’s definitely a weird error. There are a few things you might want to check to resolve this. Are there any hidden required fields in your MailChimp lists? If there are hidden required fields, make those visible in your MailChimp list settings.
Also if you’ve updated the fields lately in the Plugin settings page click ‘Update List’ to update the list and the field settings.
If you’re still having problems after trying those options, can you send us a link to your MailChimp signup form? This guide can help with grabbing the form url: http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-do-i-share-my-signup-form#url
We look forward to hearing from you!

Hi,
Thanks Mc_dominic. I’ve had a look in the plug in setting page and the options to have first and last name as required are set as ‘N’ despite me having them set as ‘Yes’ in the mailchimp website.
If you could have a look and let me know how to fix it, that would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Charlie

Don’t worry – it’s fixed now!
What I would like to know though is it it possible to have my lead magnet sent to users after they confirm to opt in?
At the moment when they sign up using the form above, they get the lead magnet and get the choice to opt in, I’d like to have them opt in first then the lead magnet appear on a separate email, sent as soon as they press confirm.
How is this possible?
Thanks,
Charlie
Hey Charlie,
Thanks for getting back in touch. We’re glad the field requirements issue is fixed. For the emails being sent to people, those would be managed within MailChimp on the form builder page. If you go to Lists > Signup forms > General forms, you can then use the drop down menu to change contents for the Signup Confirmation Email as well as the Final Welcome Email to change what contents get sent with the confirmation link versus after confirmation. For further support with that our general support would be the best place for you to get in touch with by clicking on your display name when logged in to MailChimp, then clicking Support. You can search the knowledge base for assistance there, and after searching you’ll receive an option to contact support if you’d like.
